What we collect

We do not run accounts, newsletters or comment systems. The contact page composes a message entirely in your browser; nothing is transmitted to us until you choose to email it. When you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in the message.

Our hosting provider may record standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security and reliability. These logs are kept for no longer than 30 days.

How we use it and why

We use correspondence only to reply to you and to improve our guides (for example, acting on a correction). Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. Server logs are processed under legitimate interests in keeping the site secure.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell or share personal data for marketing. Emails are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted unless an ongoing conversation requires otherwise. Our email and hosting suppliers process data on our behalf under contract.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data, object to processing, or request restriction. Write to us at the address above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
